Certain illnesses will require that your pet be hospitalized overnight. We can provide over-night care in our mobile clinic to allow more time for your pet to recover and heal. If your pet is unstable, you will be referred to an overnight hospital where a doctor is in the building 24 hours a day.

Roughly 80% of all dogs over the age of 3 and 50%-90% of cats over the age of 4 have some degree of dental disease. Few dogs and cats show obvious signs of dental disease, so it is up to us to help manage this painful condition. Bacteria accumulates in your pet’s mouth and forms plaque on the teeth. If allowed to remain on the teeth, plaque thickens and mineralizes into tartar. This plaque and tartar results in painful inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and tissues surrounding the tooth. If left untreated, infection will spread and cause destruction of the teeth and surrounding bone.  

A routine dental cleaning involves a thorough dental examination followed by dental scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar from all tooth surfaces. Pre-anesthetic blood tests may be recommended to assess liver and kidney function before undergoing anesthesia. Depending on the severity of dental disease, extraction of one or more teeth may be required. Dental cleanings can provide pets with dental disease a tremendous amount of pain-relief and most clients notice their pets eating much better than before. We can use our x-ray to take a closer look at your pet internally. This helps us diagnose problems in the chest, abdomen, musculoskeletal system, etc. All of our radiographs are sent to a board certified radiologist to review, so you can rest assured knowing that your pet is getting the most accurate diagnosis possible. Our x-ray is also portable, which allows us to use it during home visits if needed.
